Chinese Americans Demanding Jack Cafferty/CNN Apology

Was over at the People's Daily, a propaganda rag for the Chinese government, and it seems that many Chinese Americans are in an outrage over Jack Cafferty's remarks, demanding that CNN apologize, threatening to sue him, claiming they have been offended. First thing I notice, they identify themselves as Chinese living abroad...if that is the case, if you are not willing to swear alligence to America, you should get the fuck out, go back to your beloved homeland as we do not want you. Secondly, this is America, we are allowed to speak our mind, and like it or not, what Jack Cafferty said was 100 percent TRUE. The Chinese Government is rife with goons, thugs and punks, and many of the products produced in China are junk, crap, garbage...suppose you idiots missed all teh RECALLS of Chinese products this past fall. You folks need to shut your whiney asses up, or go back to China. (Board Commentary posted below.)

Enough is Enough. Jack Cafferty you just simply don"t know how much you had insulted the Chinese people. Being an American Chinese/Chinese American nor Chinese from China/ Chinese around the world,we simply are waiting for your "Public Apology".As simple as that. CNN Buckles, Apologizes to China For Stating Truth

Seems that China got their panties all in a knot when CNN spoke the truth in stating that the Chinese were goons (think torch guardians, thugs killing Tibetans) and their products were junk. I give Jack Cafferty TWO THUMBS up, but am dissappointed that CNN caved in to China's demands. For the record, I am NOT BACKING DOWN, nor issuing an apology to the laughing stock of the Olympic community, creators of the Flame of Shame...China, for the most part (governmentally) you are a bunch of thugs and goons, and your products are junk, cheap rip offs made off of stolen technology...your country seems only capable of profiting off of stolen ideas, black market DVD's, and cheap slave labor. BEIJING (Reuters) - U.S. television news network CNN said it did not mean to cause offence when one of its commentators said the Chinese were "goons" and that their products were "junk".

Jack Cafferty made the comments earlier this month on CNN's political program, The Situation Room, prompting an angry demand from China for an apology.

"It was not Mr. Cafferty's nor CNN's intent to cause offence to the Chinese people, and (CNN) would apologize to anyone who has interpreted the comments in this way," CNN said in a statement.

CNN said Cafferty was offering his "strongly held" opinion of the Chinese government, not China's people, adding that he clarified the point on Monday.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu condemned the "evil attack" by CNN on the Chinese people.

A picture of a dangling noose on the cover of the Jan. 19 issue of Golfweek magazine has re-ignited the issue over suspended Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman and her comments about Tiger Woods.

While covering the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii on Jan. 4, Tilghman joked with analyst Nick Faldo that players hoping to challenge Woods, who is half African-American and half Asian, may have to “lynch him in a back alley."

Tilghman apologized privately to Woods and during a telecast two days later and was ultimately suspended for two weeks for "offensive language." Woods’ agent said the “story was a non-issue,” but Golfweek's editors — along with the Rev. Al Sharpton, who on Jan. 9 told CNN Tilghman should be fired — thought differently.

Are CNN and Anderson Cooper Trying To Throw Election to Obama?

As a news junkie, I watch a lot of news, and have had my suspicions for some time now that CNN is deliberately skewing the Democratic Coverage to steer the nomination to Senator Obama. Watching their coverage after Obama's pathetic speech yesterday, I am now convinced that CNN and Anderson Cooper are strongly in the Obama Camp, perhaps placing such a bet to curry favor in the White House should he win. Instead of pitching Obama softballs, instead of passing over the hard questions...such as questioning/grilling Obama on his wife's $200,000 a year raise almost the second her husband became a Senator...lets have a real vetting of Obama. Instead of bringing in a bunch of Obama FRIENDLY supporters to review his speech, lets discuss it honestly...not one of the CNN shows brought up the fact that Obama yesterday admitted he lied to us without actually saying it, but DID NOT APOLOGIZE for lying. By the way Jack Cafferty, I include you in this accusation. For the record, Jeffrey Toobin is a pompous ass.
