China's Butt Buddy Nepal Stoops To New Low, Nepalese Weasels Will Shoot Pro Tibet Protesters During Everest Climb

China's butt buddy, the brown nosing Nepalese Goverment has announced they will shoot any Pro Tibetan Protestors who try to interfere with China's attempt to reach the submit of Mount Everest...let us all pray that God smites down those attempting to take the torch to the submit, let us pray they befall a HORRID ACCIDENT on the face, extinquishing the flame once and for all, burying it at the highest peak in the world...how appropriate. Meanwhile, on a more realistic note, it is suggested that Protesters plan to either A) use overwhelming force of numbers in any attempt to interfere, or B) come armed. People have a right to self defense, and the Nepalese have drawn the line in the sand...they intend to shoot to kill.

Nepal: Everest pro-Tibet protesters may be shot

KATHMANDU, Nepal (CNN) -- Nepal has given its security personnel permission to shoot pro-Tibet demonstrators during China's Olympic flame climb to Mount Everest's summit early next month.

Everest and the Himalayan mountain range seen from the air.

"About 25 soldiers and policemen have established camps on the mountain and they have been ordered to use force if necessary to stop any anti-Chinese activities," Mod Raj Dotel, spokesman for the home ministry, said Sunday. "This could mean shooting if necessary."

Security personnel will also check mountain climbers for non-essential expedition materials, Dotel added.

"If anyone is found with anti-Chinese material their permit will be canceled and returned from the mountain," he said.

Chinese climbers plan to take the Olympic flame to the top of the world's highest peak, at 8,848 meters (29,028 feet) as part of the global relay leading up to the August 8 opening of the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Spring is the most popular season for climbing Mount Everest, which straddles the border between Nepal and Tibet, an autonomous region of China.

The Nepali government has granted permits to dozens of climbers from 30 expeditions this season.

But between May 1 and May 10, climbers are barred from going above 6,400 meters until the torch run is completed. China plans to take the Olympic flame to the summit sometime then.

Harsh weather conditions allow only about two opportunities in May for a push to the summit.

The Chinese have not allowed any expedition to climb the mountain from the north side, according the Kathmandu representative of the Tibet China Mountaineering Association.

Chinese Americans Demanding Jack Cafferty/CNN Apology

Was over at the People's Daily, a propaganda rag for the Chinese government, and it seems that many Chinese Americans are in an outrage over Jack Cafferty's remarks, demanding that CNN apologize, threatening to sue him, claiming they have been offended. First thing I notice, they identify themselves as Chinese living abroad...if that is the case, if you are not willing to swear alligence to America, you should get the fuck out, go back to your beloved homeland as we do not want you. Secondly, this is America, we are allowed to speak our mind, and like it or not, what Jack Cafferty said was 100 percent TRUE. The Chinese Government is rife with goons, thugs and punks, and many of the products produced in China are junk, crap, garbage...suppose you idiots missed all teh RECALLS of Chinese products this past fall. You folks need to shut your whiney asses up, or go back to China. (Board Commentary posted below.)

We should put cnn and jack cafferty as chinese peoples" enemy no .

Enough is Enough. Jack Cafferty you just simply don"t know how much you had insulted the Chinese people.
Being an American Chinese/Chinese American nor Chinese from China/ Chinese around the world,we simply are waiting for your "Public Apology".As simple as that.
Chinese people always carry the character "REN NAI" up until to this day and will remain to carry on until you (Jack Cafferty)sincerely apologize to the Chinese people in the public via CNN. If you don"t apologize then shame on you!

Now that we have seen the true faces and color of the West, don"t you think we (as Chinese - whether mainland or overseas) should put our faces and heads together in-front of the "mirror" and feel a little more proud of our roots. What has names like Richard, Alvin, Evelyn, Emily, Evan, Lisa, Melissa, Tom, .......... James, Janice.. got to do with our roots?! Are we so ashamed of our looks and forefathers that we have to hide behind all the Richards and Janes??? We ain"t white, are we

The people in escorting the torch relay in SF maybe too defensive, but why not comment on those violent attackers. Is this fair for a newsman to make such unfair comment? He should apologize to all the Chinese people

Nepal Sells Out To China, and More Flame of Shame News

Nepal, the nation with no balls caved into pressure from China and arrest several hundred Tibetan Protesters...note to self, remove them from any and all charity lists. The basic skinny is that 505 Tibetan Protesters were wrongfully hauled off to jail from three separate protests around the Chinese Embassy...Nepal says it cannot allow protests against nations they are friends with.

Meanwhile, in India the torch ran a route in a BUBBLE with 15,000 military troops creating a safety bubble DEVOID OF ANY SPECTATORS as torch carriers waved to cameras and pretended all was normal...meanwhile, the torch relay was not without trouble in India as problems and government brutality broke out in other areas of the nation as a result of the tainted flame being in India...the IOC (International Olympic Committee).

China's Torch Relay Reaches NEW LOW-Public Banned At Private Ceremony

China's doomed world torch relay reached another NEW LOW when Pakistan banned the public from the PRIVATE EVENT held behind closed doors as torch bearers took turns running around a heavily armed track. Carefully selected guests loyal to Musharraf filled the stands and pretended jubilation at the stilted event. China was quick to race to it's Torch Relay Propaganda site to DECLARE the event a roaring success. God, what's next, Torch Bearers running around the desk in a government office building guarded by tanks?

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- The Olympic torch relay began its Pakistan leg under heavy guard and literally behind closed doors on Wednesday.

Security concerns sparked by the violence in earlier runs in Britain, France and the United States prompted Pakistani officials to close the relay to the public and hold it in Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.

And instead of traversing city streets, the 65 torchbearers ran multiple times around the stadium before handing off the torch to the next runner.

The ceremony, which began around 4:30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT), was open to invited guests and the media only, and featured singers and a marching band. Video See the torch arrive in Pakistan. »

Dignitaries on hand included Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf and newly-elected Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.

After the relay was finished, torch-bearers waved to the cheering crowd.

(CNN) -- The Olympic torch relay will be closed to the public when it reaches Pakistan on Wednesday because of security concerns, a Pakistani government spokesman told CNN.

art.musharraf.jintao.ap.jpg

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, left, with Chinese President Hu Jintao over the weekend in Boao, China.

Instead of the original plan of holding the relay in public streets in Islamabad, the relay will be held in front of invited guests in a stadium, said Lt. Col. Baseer Haider Malik.

The decision to move the relay behind closed doors came a day after Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf attacked the West over the protests that have dogged the event.

Musharraf accused Western leaders and media of politicizing the Olympics by criticizing China's human rights record and its policy in Tibet.

"First of all, we consider Tibet an inalienable part of China," he said in an interview with China Daily on Sunday. If "anyone is harboring or abetting the separatists, we condemn that."

Musharraf is in Beijing to meet with various Chinese officials.

Last week the international leg of the Olympic torch relay set off protests in London, Paris and San Francisco. The relay received warmer receptions over the weekend in Argentina and Tanzania.

Was the Jin Jing Wheelchair Incident STAGED?

The more one looks at the Jin Jing Wheelchair incident, reviews the pictures, one has to ask, "Did the Chinese STAGE this supposed attack in attempt to discredit the Tibetan Protesters?" They needed a publicity stunt, need a sympathy winner...enter one Jin Jing, cancer victim, wheelchair bound, fencing star defending the torch at all costs...OR DID SHE? Think about it folks...with the Blue Ninja Torch Guards and a host of other security, some THUG breaks through a suddenly LAPSE security and attempts to STEAL THE TORCH from Jin Jing! Look at all the pictures, and it all suddenly looks VERY STAGED by China! CAN WE SAY PROPAGANDA?

IOC and USOC Bless China's Hilter Style World Torch Relay

Photograph of Participants in San Francisco Leg of Hitler Styled Torch Relay.

Here’s The Associated Press version:

The Olympic flame wasn’t part of the ancient games, and the torch relay didn’t become a fixture in the modern Olympics until the 1936 Berlin Games, when it was part of the Nazi pageantry that promoted Hitler’s beliefs of Aryan supremacy in the world of sports.

And from Reuters

The Olympics first held a torch relay in 1936, the year dictator Adolf Hitler made the Berlin games a showcase of Nazi propaganda. That torch run is captured in one of the most famous — and infamous — Olympic movies ever made, Leni Riefenstahl’s “Olympia.”

San Francisco Mayor and Police Willing ACCOMPLICES in China Propaganda Stunt!

The Mayor of San Francisco and his Police Department are FUCK MONKEYS who willingly cooperated in Communist China's Propaganda Stunt, aided and abetted Criminals in violating Human Rights, in perpetuating lies upon the world, and did this at the expense of taxpayers, and the citizens of Tibet.

TORCH PROPAGANDA-Torch on Van Ness and High....Could Try Going Down Market

Protestors need to head to FINISH LINE ASAP, shut down China's Ability for Closing Ceremony. A Chinese Runner is now on Van Ness as I predicted EARLIER TODAY! The whole Flame of Shame events in America are a MOCKERY! China as a nation is a bunch of spinless chickens who cannot even do a Olympic Torch Relay in America! Meanwhile, out of FEAR, the route has been shortened. BREAK DOWN THE BARRICADES, screw the PIGS, stop the torch...show China, and San Francisco that the cause of Human Rights cannot be FENCED IN. How DARE SAN FRANCISCO have a reserved area they keep Tibetan People and supporters out of!...whatever it takes, KILL THE FLAME OF SHAME. FACT....the protesters have the NUMBERS, police can only stop first of you, with the rest breaking free, having a chance to TAKE THE TORCH....BE NOT AFRAID, BREAK DOWN THE BARRIERS TO FREE TIBET

China's FAKE Flame News On Official Chinese Torch Web Site-PROPAGANDA

SAN FRANCISCO, April 8 (Xinhua) -- As the Olympic torch has traveled to San Francisco, the city is extending its arms to embrace the flame with pride, emotions and courage.

With the world looking on to the sixth leg of the torch relay around the world, the flame, a symbol of Olympic unity, received VIP treatment as it arrived in San Francisco early Tuesday morning.

"We treated it like a head of state visit," airport spokesman Mike McCaron said.

Despite heightened security in the face of any possible disruptions by Tibetan separatists and anti-China groups, the city puts on an atmosphere of peace and harmony, particularly along the relay route decorated with Olympic flags.

The Olympics...The World's Chance To Smack Down China

China's government thinks they are above anything, their wish the world's command, as is exhibited by their reaction to the torch attacks. They have stated. "No Force can stop their Olympic Flame of Shame Relay". Is that so China? They have also threatened SEVERE retaliation should Tibetans interfere with the Flame of Shames march through Tibet to Mount Everest. Well, the world can SMACK CHINA down, put them back in their place, show them that public views and sentiments can TEACH THEM A LESSON, bring GREAT SHAME to their nation, and do it simply and effectively.

A) Attack the flame at every stop, protest its route of shame every step of the way.

B) Boycott the Olympics...citizens of the world can financially CRIPPLE the Chinese Olympics by CANCELING their plans to attend the Olympics! Don't Go! Don't Go! Don't Go!

C) Formally Boycott the Olympics...pull your teams, refuse to attend or march in the openning ceremony...imagine and opening and closing event where the athletes themselves simply REFUSED TO MARCH.

D) Plan disruptions and acts of civil disobedience AT EVERY OLYMPIC EVENT.China vows to keep torch on track

Seven protesters were arrested after the San Francisco action

Bridge protest
Beijing has said "no force" can stop the Olympic flame relay, as it faces protests on the US leg of its journey.

Seven demonstrators have already been arrested in San Francisco after tying "Free Tibet" banners to the cables of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The flame arrived in the city early on Tuesday amid heavy security, following anti-China protests in Europe.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) members will discuss the torch relay in meetings in Beijing in the coming days.

IOC President Jacques Rogge said he was "deeply saddened" by the protests in London and Paris and concerned about the next leg of the flame relay in San Francisco.

The Flame of Shame Wars in San Francisco...Let the Games Begin

As the maps the police and Flame of Shame Security forces do not really have a lot of options when it comes to the the Olympic Torch this morning. It will not take much planning (coupled with listening to police radios) for the protestors to put people where they need to be when they need to be there.

Key areas to have in your planning should probably include Divisadero Street (just in case Golden Gate Bridge stays involved), Van Ness Avenue (access to city hall and its twin fronts), the Embarkadero, Market, Bay and Broadway...brave souls would figure out a way to clog the Bay Bridge.

In short, contrary to what the police want everyone to think, their options are actually FAIRLY LIMITED, and further convoluted by serious TRAFFIC issues on the best of days during business hours. Key to success...get as many protestors on bikes as you possibly can for FAST DEPLOYMENT...also, if you know any bike messengers, they are GREAT SOURCES of intell!

My advice to the IOC...pull the plug. Having watched the Danny White riots unfold, can tell you San Francisco has the ability to GET UGLY FAST, and having been a bike messenger there, can tell you it is possible for well organized protesters to literally bottle off and TRAP the torch! FREE TIBET!

Chinese Torch Guards Murderers of Tibetan Citizens?

Thus, hooligans, societal misfits, heavy handed are some of the words used, inferred in discribing the ugly, villanious thugs assigned by China to guard the Flame of Shame as it taints its way around the world...now, some sources are fingering these MEN IN BLUE as more than just thugs, but COLD BLOODED MURDERERS!

LONDON, April 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- Reuters has cited Chinese state media reports on the identity of the Olympic torch protectors who were seen in blue tracksuits during the Paris and London legs of the Olympic Torch Relay.

Photo: Olympic torch protectors, addition photos available

According to Chinese state media the men in tracksuits are employed by BOCOG (the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee) and were handpicked from the People's Armed Police (PAP) to form the "flame protection squad" last August. The squad is responsible for protection of the Olympic Torch during the Torch Relay.

The squad has generated huge controversy due to their heavy-handed tactics. One of the London torch-bearers, Konnie Huq, has said that she saw them pushing around British policemen during the London leg. Sebastian Coe, the chairman of the London 2012 Games Organizing Committee, described them as "thugs" according to the British media.

The People's Armed Police is a security force unit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). It has been very active in putting down recent protests in Tibet. Free Tibet Campaign has received eyewitness accounts that the PAP have been involved in cases of brutality during the recent protests, including firing live ammunition into crowds of Tibetan protesters on April 3 in Grdze county in Sichuan province.

Matt Whitticase of Free Tibet Campaign said: "It beggars belief that personnel from the PAP were allowed on to the streets of London at all, let alone that they were allowed to push Metropolitan Police around. They come from the same unit that shot dead in cold blood a Tibetan woman on the Nangpa-la Pass in September 2006 and the PAP has been very active in brutally putting down recent Tibetan protests inside Tibet, according to eyewitness statements received by Free Tibet Campaign. The British government must explain immediately who authorized this unit to scuffle with our own police, and whether the government knew that they came from the PAP when they were authorized to escort the flame on London's streets."

Outside China Torch Contacts:

Do Torch Protesters Need Stun Guns To Deal With Chinese BULLIES?

According to a British paper, the Chinese Torch protectors are THUGS, which raises the question, do protestors need to bring their own tasers and mace to protect themselves against these Chinese civil rights abusers? Maybe these thugs are used to beating Tibetans into submission in China, but their bruttish antics should not be tolerated in CIVILIZED society, and protestors might be well advised to TAKE protection with you if you are planning on protesting in San Francisco tomorrow, be prepared to meet unacceptable force with retaliatory efforts meant to protect yourself...amazing what a nice shot of mace will do to control a BRUTTISH THUG. Unlike China, Americans have the right to SELF PROTECTION.

Chinese torch guards are 'thugs' says British Olympic chief

By Laura Clout and agencies
Last Updated: 11:51am BST 08/04/2008

Sebastian Coe, the chairman of the London Olympic Committee, has described the Chinese officials guarding the Olympic torch as "thugs", piling more embarrassment onto the Games' organisers.

  • Olympic flame put out four times in Paris
  • Kate Hoey: Olympic ideals? It's a grotesque charade
  • Clinton urges Olympics boycott

Olympic guards surround the Olympic torchbearer
    Guards surround the Olympic torchbearer

Lord Coe was overheard talking about the attendants, who formed part of a huge security presence around the flame, during a private telephone conversation with a member of his press team.

The Chinese guards, more than a dozen of whom surrounded Olympic flame during its chaotic journey through London on Sunday, are officially employed to ensure the safe handover of the torch between runners and to ensure it remains lit throughout the relay.

But the attendants, thought to have been recruited from the security services, have been criticised for allegedly using aggressive tactics against protestors demonstrating against China's human rights abuses and the occupation of Tibet.

  • Boycott China Olympics

Disgraced China Olympics Try For Pity Using Cripple...Meanwhile, The San Francisco Routing of Torch

Jin Jing NO HERO...sells out Human Rights
The GREAT China Summer Olympics are OFFICIALLY A DISGRACE, the oppressors of that backward nation brutally beating Tibetans, trying to force them into submission just in time for the Summer games has backfired as protestors the world over have ruined the Torch Relay with all signs pointing to protests getting louder and more successful at each successive stop along the route...China's plan...try to get world sympathy for their OPPRESSIVE NATION by using a CRIPPLE in Jin Jing, the third torchbearer in the FAILED Paris leg of the "Relay of Shame" torch toss. Have the heads of government in China no PRIDE? How low will they stoop to save face if they are willing to use a CRIPPLE in a wheelchair in their Propaganda Campaign?

Jin Jing from Shanghai should be ASHAMED OF HERSELF for participating in the torch relay. As a former athlete, as a ROLE MODEL she should take a stand in favor of human rights for those in Tibet, but instead SOLD OUT to party insiders for a few moments of fleeting fame carrying the torch in Paris...in short, she got what she deserved when protestors tried to extinguish the flame.

Meanwhile, here is the latest information from the official torch site on the flames travels in California. Look for the Chinese to start events EARLY to avoid protestors so they can pump out PROPAGANDA about how well recieved the China Torch Event was here in America...here is a clue CHINA...we don't want you here, and think Goerge Bush is a pussy if he attends the opening event for the Olympics. Couple points...one torch bearer has decided NOT to carry the torch. Further, China flew in very early in the morning because they have no spine, could not face protestors. Well, that flame has to go back to the airport, doesn't it?

Olympic spirit to be spread through North America via San Francisco
Golden Gate Bridge (Photo credit: China Foto Press)

(SAN FRANCISCO, April 7) – At 6:00 p.m. in Paris Monday evening, fans waved goodbye to the Olympic torch. After a short but sweet final ceremony, the sacred flame hopped on the chartered Air China flight to its next destination, an ocean away. The sixth stop of the global journey will take the sacred flame to its only stop in North America, San Francisco, California.

    Relay Route

At 1:00 p.m. on April 9, California time, the sacred flame will start its tour of the famous American city.

Starting at McCovey Cove, the torch relay route extends a total of about 6 miles. In about an hour and a half, the sacred flame is expected to tour Third Street, hit the Embarcadero, journey to Jefferson Street, be carried through Hyde Street, be taken to Beach Street, and then to Polk Street. From there, the Olympic torch will continue on to Bay Street then re-enter the Embarcadero, finally ending at Justin Herman Plaza, where it will be sent off with a concluding ceremony signaling the end of the relay run in North America.

Torch will not pass through Chinatown

Although fans were quite enthusiastic about having the Olympic torch pass through the city which is so heavily populated by Chinese-Americans, after careful consideration, planners decided not to have the relay route journey through San Francisco's historic Chinatown. Because of the expected large numbers of people that will come out to see the flame, organizers were worried about safety issues while the torch was being carried down the narrow streets.

Jin Jing really a BITCH? You decide.

Jin Jing, a Chinese torchbearer, said the disruptions by some separatists were an insult to the athletes and undermines the spirit of the Olympics.

"I despise them", said Jin, who carried the torch on a wheelchair.

However, she said she was encouraged when she saw many people, including Chinese students, waving Chinese flags to cheer her along the way.

Olympic Torch, Oppressive Chinese 0, Free Tibet Protestors 4

Face it, China has been embarassed around the world, the Olympics being held in China disgraced as Free Tibet protestors successfully thwart every torch event from the opening ceremony forward! In fact, the growing protests have been so successful that the International Olympic Committee is thinking of pulling the plug on the torches travels! That will be a MAJOR VICTORY for the Free Tibet and Students for a Free Tibet movement.

Meanwhile, protestors have already successfully interfered with the only USA appearance of the torch which is now on the ground in California under TIGHT SECURITY. The original route has already been greatly shortened, and security on the ground is contemplating shortening the route even futher to reduce attacks on the torch...GOOD LUCK, as we all know the second that torch goes public, ALL HELL IS GOING TO BREAK OUT.

Looking forward, certain things become obvious...Human Rights groups, all people oppressed in China realize this Olympics presents for them their moment of opportunity, and they are going to use it...look for one of the most distruptive, andd perhaps most violent opening ceremonies ever. The only way the International Olympic Committee can stop the embarrassment, put an end to the tranishing of the torch is simple...CANCEL THE CHINESE OLYMPICS in their totality.

Prove Chinese Ambassador to the United States Zhou Wenzhong Wrong...Seize Torch in San Francisco

Seems Chinese Ambassador to the United States Zhou Wenzhong has been beating his chest and insulting protestors, claiming any attempts to disrupt China's Olympic Torch while in San Francisco will be a dismal failure...I'd encourage the Students For a Free Tibet and other protestors to prove this man WRONG. Here is the article:

Chinese ambassador: Attempts to sabotage Olympic torch relay doomed to failure
    http://english.gov.cn/mtn.htm

    GOV.cn Sunday, April 6, 2008

Attempts by anti-China elements to harass and disrupt the Olympic torch relay scheduled for next Wednesday in San Francisco are doomed to failure, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Zhou Wenzhong has said.

In an exclusive interview with Virginia-based Christian Broadcasting Network on Wednesday, Ambassador Zhou said the Chinese people are earnestly looking forward to the Beijing Olympic Games and making their best efforts with confidence to ensure the success of the event.

The Beijing Olympics is not only a great event for the 1.3 billion Chinese people but for the peoples around the world as well, Zhou said, adding that friends from all countries are welcomed to Beijing to watch the Games.

As part of the Olympic torch relay outside the Chinese mainland, the "Sacred Flame" will be relayed in San Francisco on April 9, which would be a great event between China and the United States, he said.

Any attempts by anti-China elements to harass and disrupt the Olympic torch relay are doomed to failure because they run against the spirit and principles of the Olympic movement and against the will of the Chinese and American peoples as well as peoples around the world, the ambassador noted.

Talking about the recent riots masterminded and incited by the Dalai Lama clique, in Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region, and some other regions of the country, Ambassador Zhou stressed that the Chinese government has dealt with the unrest in accordance with the law. The efforts are designed to maintain law and order and it has nothing to do with religious freedom and ethnicity, he added.

No responsible government in the world could tolerate such criminal acts as beating up innocent people, vandalizing public and private properties, looting and arson, Zhou said. Thanks to effective measures taken by the local government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, public order has largely been restored in Lhasa and other affected areas, he added.

The ambassador said that Tibet is an integral part of the Chinese territory and the Chinese government has been showing great patience in maintaining contacts with representatives of theDalai Lama.

If the Dalai Lama genuinely gives up his pursuit of "Tibet independence," ceases all the splittist activities, especially the ongoing efforts to incite more criminal violence in Tibet and other regions in China and activities designed to undermine the Beijing Olympic Games, and in the meantime, recognizes that both Tibet and Taiwan are inalienable parts of the Chinese territory, the Chinese government will be ready to resume contacts and talks with his side, Zhou said.

During the interview with the U.S. television network, Ambassador Zhou also answered questions about Sino-U.S. relations and socioeconomic development in China.

French Olympic Committee Pussy Boy Henri Serandour Decries Protestors Interference With Sacred Olympic Flame

Hey HENRI, BLOW ME, and GET A CLUE. If the French Government has any balls, you would BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS, would have refused to let the Chinese Olympic flame pass through France!

What happened today was NOT highly regrettable, but instead a WIN FOR HUMAN RIGHTS, you do remember those don't you? I wish that the protestors has managed to roll the bus over, succeeded in KILLING THE FLAME.

The Olympic Flame is not a sign of PEACE, it is a sign of MONEY to be made, the beginning of PROFIT TAKING, the ahtletes unwilling to boycott because they want their endorsements and million dollar contracts, Human Rights be damned! You sir are a PUSSY, a perfect example of what is WRONG WITH FRANCE, while those protestors who showed heart against insurmountable odds exhibited the good that is France, the willingness to stand up for Human Rights, even if it means killing the Olympic Orgy of Profits and National Pride. Let us hope that the protestors gearing up in San Francisco are even more successful, succeed in laying seige to the bus, and killing the flame, stopping its journey forward, making a mockery out of any attempt to light the Olympic torch in China!

French Olympic chief, spectators condemn disruption of Olympic torch relay in Paris

PARIS, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Head of the French Olympic Committee and spectators on Monday strongly condemned the disruption of the Olympic torch relay here by Tibetan separatists and their supporters.

Henri Serandour, head of the French Olympic Committee criticized the disruption as "highly regrettable."

"I think that people should have let this flame through, that they could have held their protests to one side," he said.

"Everyone has a right to express themselves but to stop it passing shows a lack of respect for the basic freedom of our athletes to carry this flame, which is a message of peace to the whole world," the chief said.

Another member of the French Olympic Committee said that the Olympic torch relay should not be affected in any way.

"The Olympic sacred fire is a symbol of peace, tolerance... and should not be affected by anybody in any way," Guy Drut told France 3 television.

Chairman of "Europe-China Cooperation" Club Alain Destrem said that the attempt to block the Olympic torch relay in Paris was "unacceptable". It was a "shameful" scene appearing in the hometown of Pierre De Coubertin, father of the modern Olympic Games, and those people participating in the disruption should be condemned, he said.

He expressed his sincere hopes the Olympic flame can safely and smoothly arrive in Beijing, and Beijing will hold a highly-appreciated Olympic Games.

A French mother bringing her four-year-old daughter to come to see the torch relay told a Xinhua correspondent that the event would have been a festival of celebration if without those disruptions. "Their behavior will only humiliate themselves," she said.

Her view was shared by others lining along the relay route. "We've come here only to watch the torch relay," said a Paris student, who gave his first name as Mark.

"What in the world does this have anything to do with us except for annoying us?" he added, pointing to Tibetan separatist demonstrators.

As one of a few invited foreign torch bearers, Chinese handicapped athlete Jin Jing just finished torch relaying in front of the Eiffel Tower. She said: "The disruption of torch relay and binding sports with politics make people resentful."

"From the expression on spectators' faces, I can see that they don't approve those sabotaging actions as well," said she.

The Olympic torch in Paris, the fifth leg of its global travel, was repeatedly disrupted by Tibetan separatists and their supporters who tried to grab the torch or block the relay route. The torch had to be carried on bus several times as precaution measures against the protesters.
