The Porky Pig of Radical Islamic Clerics Mogtada al-Sadr is once again beating his chest and threatening war if Iraqi and US troops don't stop harrassing/attacking his followers (militia). Who cares? Let's be honest here, America screwed up when we had him and his men surrounded inside a temple...we should have demanded the fat pig boys full and unconditioned surrender, or taken him out even if it meant sacrificing a temple. Personally, I think it is time we bring our troops home, but if we are going to have any chance of victory in Iraq, the path to victory goes through al-Sadr. We either acquince to his demands yet again, thus giving him and by proxy Iran more power, or we mount and all out seige meant to take him down once and for all, dead or alive. It really is that simple, and if our generals, if George Bush do not get this, they have no business leading our troops.

BAGHDAD - Anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr gave a "final warning" to the government Saturday to halt a U.S.-Iraqi crackdown against his followers or he would declare "open war until liberation."

A full-blown uprising by al-Sadr, who led two rebellions against U.S.-led forces in 2004, could lead to a dramatic increase in violence in Iraq at a time when the Sunni extremist group al-Qaida in Iraq appears poised for new attacks after suffering severe blows last year. BAGHDAD - Gunmen assassinated a top aide of anti-American leader Muqtada al-Sadr on Friday, sharpening a Shiite power struggle that has already triggered fighting between the cleric's followers and the U.S.-backed Iraqi government.

Riyadh al-Nouri, director of al-Sadr's office in Najaf, was gunned down by an unknown number assailants near his home after returning from prayer services, police and Sadrist officials said.

Al-Sadr blamed the Americans and their Iraqi allies for the killing but called for calm — presumably to avoid a showdown at a time his Mahdi Army militia is under pressure by Iraqi and U.S.-led forces in Baghdad and southern Iraq.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. general commanding the Iraq war called Tuesday for an open-ended suspension of U.S. troop withdrawals this summer, asserting that an overly rapid withdrawal would jeopardize recent security gains.

Forget Cease Fire and Politics, Take Out Sadr

So, radical Shite butt munch Mogtada al-Sadr has pushed the envelop to the edge, and then in his usual cat and mouse game pulls his troops off the field and says, "Let's all play nice, and by the way, all my troops should get a FREE PASS." Screw that noise...let's be honest here, one of the big mistakes the Pentagon made was not taking al-Sadr out when they had a chance. They should have stormed the Mosque, leveled the Mother F--Ker to the ground and killed the fat rat bastard. Instead, they let him slip the noose, live to fight another day.

If America wants respect in the Middle East, they need to start showing some MAN BALLS, busting some heads starting with Mogtada al-Sadr's militia. Instead of sitting back, sending in a bit of air cover, American Troops now need to storm in and clean house in a big way, take no prisoners, force al-Sadr and his militia to surrender or die. BREAKING NEWS...American Death Toll Hits 4000

Just in from CNN...a bomb has claimed the lives of four American soldiers, bringing the death toll in President Bush's wrong sighted Iraq War to 4,000. More details as they become available. There is a bittersweet justice in the number 4,000 being reached on Easter...this blog asks all readers to pray for those troops that are wrongfully being kept in harms way in Iraq.

Updates-Soldiers were killed this morning in a roadside bombing, another IED attack on our troops. Today has been one of the MOST VIOLENT since the surge started as insurgents attacked at will throughout Iraq.

Michael Ware reports from Iraq that this mile marker is devastating, especially coming just after America marks the five year Anniversary of Bush's wrong war. His take is that our troops have to be demoralized with the fact there is NO END IN SIGHT in this war. He classifies this mile marker as a "Chilling Moment". He went on further to state that the number of Iraqi deaths is conservatively 80-100,000 with another 4 million Iraqi's displaced.

Why Democrats Cannot Pick Obama

For those Democrats failing to grasp the severity of the sordid Jeremiah Wright debackle, I share this from a Republican blog. With this kind of a post this early, trust me, the Republicans are now licking their chops at the thought of taking on Senator Obama in the fall.

You want equality, then take it, on all levels.

That means when Obama uses the phrase “typical white person”, he deserves to have his figurative ass kicked just like Whitey’s figurative ass would be kicked for saying “typical black person”. It means Reverend Wright is an asshole of a racist just like David Duke. Play fair or don’t play at all.

Blogging was a lesser phenomenon when she quit, and it is better for her return. Read the whole thing.

Bottom line: Obama intentionally used the phrase, and it is racist...or racially charged, at the very least. It would never be acceptable for me to use in in reference to him, therefore it should never be acceptable for him to use it in reference to me. Or anyone else.

Obama will not heal us or unite us or make us better people. He’s just another kind of “shut up and get in line” politician looking to shame people into letting him have power for a little while.

Pictures From Iraq War Protests

In nothing surprising, seems many of the police holding the line at various war protests through out America acted like pigs...watched one cop on CNN for no good reason punch a protestor right in the face. Vietnam all over again...the Republican Convention might be ugly this year. I do not see protestors letting the Republicans coral them in cages this time around.

Lynndie England Blames Media

Remember Lynndie England, the Pug (as in the dog) faced woman made famous for appearing in the Iraqi Prison torture pictures? Seems she is feeling remorseful, admits that those photographs probably contributed to increased insurgent violence and anti-American feelings in Iraq. The bad news, she is not repentant in the least, does not hold herself responsible. When question about the incident by a German reporter she replied:

"I guess after the picture came out the insurgency picked up and Iraqis attacked the Americans and the British and they attacked in return and they were just killing each other. I felt bad about it ... no, I felt pissed off. If the media hadn't exposed the pictures to that extent, then thousands of lives would have been saved,"

and

"Yeah, I took the photos but I didn't make it worldwide. Yes, I was in five or six pictures and I took some pictures, and those pictures were shameful and degrading to the Iraqis and to our government,"

Lynndie England has taken "It's not my fault" to a whole new level.

New Poll Spells Serious Trouble For McCain

Despite the raging war going on in the Democratic Party, a newly released poll shows a statistical dead heat when Clinton or Obama is matched up against John McCain. The pool which has a plus or minus factor of 3 shows Obama beating McCain by 1 percent in the poll, while Hillary Clinton beats him by 3 percent. This poll shows that McCain is in serious trouble. His MAJOR gaffe in Jordan today should see his numbers tumbling further at a time when he should be attempting to build a lead.

Unaware Of Pentagon Report, Cheney Promises Iraq Will Not be Base For Further Attacks

BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (Cheney News Channel) - Dick(head)Cheney promised our troops today that the United States intends to complete its mission in Iraq, will not allow Iraq to become a staging ground for further terrorist attacks on Americans. Aides were seen whispering in his ear and putting a copy of last weeks Pentagon Report (Saddam's Iraq) on the table for him while his wife blushed in embarrassment.

"All Americans can be certain that we intend to complete the mission so that another generation of Americans does not have to come back here and do it again," Cheney told 3,000 U.S. troops at Balad Air Base, contradicting McCains message that America would be in Iraq for 100 years.

The war in Iraq contributes to President George W. Bush's low popularity ratings, but the corporate bailout today, and a failing economy are the real kick in his ass. The economy will be a major issue in the U.S. presidential election, which might explain McCain's reading material for the plane ride over, "Economics For Dummies".

Cheney, on a visit to Iraq to keep an eye on McCain and LIEberman, on Monday called the 2003 U.S. linvasion of Iraq a "successful endeavour" and promised Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki the unwavering support of the United States if they could get the insurgents to keep attacks down until after the fall elections, explaining that McCain's chances depended on the SURGE looking like a success until the end of November.

"We have no intention of abandoning our friends if we can hold the White House or allowing this country ... to become a staging ground for further attacks against Americans," Cheney, an architect of the failed 2003 invasion, told the soldiers at Balad.

The vice president spent the night with his wife Lynne in a trailer at Balad, one of the largest near permanent U.S. air bases in Iraq. In the early hours McCain was heard snoring over a barrage of mortar and artillery fire lasting for several hours.

Five Years Later-Was Iraq War Worth It?

How ironic that Senator McCain and Senator Lieberman, two high priests in the Church of Bush touched down in Iraq as they mark the five year anniversary of our invasion.

We all support the troops, yet this weekend as America celebrates the five year anniversary of the Iraq War, the milestone is hardly mentioned in the press here in America, more attention paid to McCain touching foot in Iraq than we are seeing given to this somber anniversary. A PEW poll released earlier this week found that 40 percent of Americans were unsure, did not know how many American troops had died in the war…for those wondering, we will soon reach the 4,000 number.

Taking exception to McCain’s rosy predictions where Iraq is concerned, I point out the obvious that he does not want to discuss.

1. Iraq is in the throes of civil war, the nation suffering from great political and military strife and uncertainty.

2. Despite claims that the SURGE is working, violence is rampant in Iraq, with the death toll of Irag citizens conservatively estimated to be over 89,000.

3. Life for women in Iraq has gotten far worse since the American invasion, many women having no choice but to turn to prostitution to survive, risking death if they are caught.

4. Unemployment and poverty rates are escalating.

Contrary to the false words of George W. Bush, no weapons of Mass Destruction have been found, no ties found to exist between Saddam Hussein and Al-Quida. Senator McCain would have us believe we are winning; have us keep our troops in Iraq, if necessary for another 100 years. Setting aside politics, setting aside party platforms and doctrine, was the Invasion of Iraq worth it?
