Obama Going Down Down Down While The Jeremiah Wright Flames Burn Higher

He's Been Like A Father To Me!

The nation has known for weeks that Jeremiah Wright was a rabid viper, a bigot, a racist spewing forth hate speech from the pulpit. Obama chose to ignore that reality chose to STAND BY HIS MAN. He told America that Jeremiah Wright was like a father to him, stated he could not more abandon Jeremiah Wright than he could abandon his own grandmother...you remember her, the one who makes "typical white person" remarks?

Then came Jeremiah Wright's statements at the press club yesterday, a walking talking bigoted caricature spewing forth hate and self serving rhetoric for all the world to see. Still Obama STOOD BY HIS MAN.

Then his staff starting handing him overnight POLL RESULTS. Obama, the TYPICAL WASHINGTON INSIDER POLITICIAN did what POLITICS required, and marched to teh cameras ready to deliver his GREAT MIA CULPA...forgive me father for I have sinned.

BULL SHIT!

Even today in his denoucement Obama LIED to us...we have PROOF he was in the church pews for at least one of Jeremiah Wright's hate filled sermons. We know for a fact by his own words that Obama considered Jeremiah Wright his SPIRITUAL MENTOR.

WAKE UP AMERICA, especially that part of America (North Carolina and Indiana)and see this imposter for what he is, a PRETENDER to the THRONE. You have the power next Tuesday to send Senator Obama PACKING, and that is exactly what needs to be done. On a personal note...Roland Martin, wake up to the reality...YOU ARE BACKING A LOSER.

Obama Suggests Americans Bitter Over Job Losses Hate Black Americans and Illegal Aliens

Oh sure, Obama did not actually USE the *N* word, but he might as well have done so when he suggested Americans bitter at losing their jobs tend to cling to things like our guns, and HATRED/Antipathy of those different than them, like (ILLEGAL) immigrants and people of color...!

Hey Obama, first, illegal aliens are CRIMINALS! They have broken no less than FOUR AMERICAN LAWS in being in America, and HAVE STOLEN American jobs, have LOWERED OUR WAGES...in fact, it is noted, that the hardest hit sector of American Workers as a result of Illegal Aliens are young Black Men...that SIR IS A FACT...yet, you want to GRANT AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL ALIENS, WANT TO LET THEM KEEP OUR JOBS. Fuck YOU Mr. Elitist, Classist Afro American Bigot, you need to stop painting WHITEY as bigots, stop making this race about RACE....it is YOU, it is the black community have put Americans in a situation where we are accused of being racist if we are not willing to vote for OBAMA THE BLACK MAN...I will not vote for you because you embraced and maintain a relationship with a BIGOT in Jeremiah Wright, will not vote for you because you are underqualified, will not vote for you because you have NO SUBSTANCE, will not vote for you because I find your wife and ungrateful bitch, not because of the COLOR OF YOUR SKIN.

As for your hint that those losing our jobs turn towards HATE of Black People...don't confuse HATRED OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, which is REVERSE DISCRIMINATION with HATRED OF A PEOPLE based on the color of their skin, don't accuse us of hating immigrants because we HATE CRIMINALS that have broken our laws...since you brought it up there MR OBAMA, do you believe someone is entitled to a job based on the COLOR OF THEIR SKIN, rather than their QUALIFICATIONS as a HUMAN BEING. Do you EMBRACE REVERSE DISCRIMINATION in the name of Affirmative Action, and do you embrace letting ILLEGAL ALIENS KEEP JOBS THAT BELONG TO AMERICANS? Bring it on Obama, LETS HAVE THAT TALK. You can hear Obama's ignorance here.

Does the Press Want Obama To Win, or Afraid of The Race Issue? Obama is a LIAR.

Have The Democrats Become Obama Sheep, Like Evangelicals Were Bush's Sheep being Led To Slaughter?
First, let us be clear...Obama KNEW about Reverend Wrights bigoted, racist remarks. He even warned Obama way back almost 20 years ago when Obama wanted to join the church. He told Obama he was controversial, and if Obama was planning a political career it could cause problems for him. Simply stated, Obama is lying, will lie on the view when he tries to claim IGNORANCE. So, poor judgement, a liar, and someone that has no problems communing with a Black Bigot.

Yet, the press refuses to really go after Obama, or for that matter Jeremiah Wright. They have been very careful NOT TO LABEL Jeremiah Wright himself a racist. Further, they always preface their comments on Obama with things like, "Is it really fair to expect him to know everything his preacher said" as if they either A) want Obama to win the White House, or B) are afraid of treading in the deep waters of BLACK PREJUDICE against White people. Either way, they are doing a disservice to America.

Today on The View, Obama will again lie to America when he states, "I'm not vetting my minister."

Election Central raises the question, "Did he know?" Give me a break, I am not a reporter, and have found PLENTY of PROOF that Obama knew...I just find it said that the press does have the balls to go after the story, endorses a double standard wherein Black Prejudice is acceptable, but White Prejudice is not.

How Many Free Passes Does Obama Get on Racist Reverend Wright?

FUCK YOU, I AM NOT DENOUCING MY FRIEND!
So lets set aside for the minute that Obama called us to have THE GREAT TALK ON RACE, and then went off on vacation, trying to hide from the Reverend Wright/Otis Moss III BIGOT scandal. Forget that Obama has failed miserably in laying out a framework for this GREAT TALK ON RACE, seems to feel Whites should shut up and listen, while Blacks bitch about past sins. Lets get to reality...Obama has admitted that he sat in the pew and HEARD controversial remarks made by Reverend Wright. Again, we have more racist remarks coming to the surface that have been spoken by, or printed by Racist Jeremiah Wright, yet Obama like a boy not weaned from his mother's nipple insists STANDING BY HIS MAN.

Garlic nosed Italians? False accusations against the Jews, accusing Whites of causing aides in the black Community, insinuating that 911 was deserved, yet Obama insists on keeping Wright as a friend, insists on defending the church from which this hate speech has come...speaks ill of his judgement, and yet the press is not going after him, insists on TAMPING DOWN THE SCANDAL, afraid they might KILL THE GREAT BLACK HOPE...come on, if those comments had come from a white man, if Obama insisted on standing by the white man his career would be over. Stop the double standards...Obama is embracing as a friend, as a mentor a bigot...that is the story.

Whiner's in Obama Campaign Challenge Media To Elevate Discussion

Obama has now challenged the media to elevate the discussion, is accusing them of being focused on the hate filled words of Jeremiah Wright, the poor choice of words used by both himself and his wife, rather than having a talk about racism wherein White people are educated about the pain of the Black people. One of his senior staffers was just on one of the Sunday Morning news shows saying it is wrong that we are so uneducated about the Black Church Experience, should be more tolerant of such sermons, are wrong for taking the Reverend Wright's statements out of content.
The gist of all this, is that the talk should be elevated away from the remarks, and focused on educating White people about the Black Experience, educating White people about the Black Church Experience. In short, seems Obama's vision of a discussion about race is first and foremost not to have him, or Reverend Wright's remarks included in it, and secondly, should primarily revolve around educating White's. That is NOT A DISCUSSION, that is a LECTURE.

There is NO NEED to hold a one sided conversation here in America. If, as Obama has called for, we are going to have a long overdue conversation on issues of race, prejudice and find a roadmap to a new United tomorrow, it is imperiative that all sides be heard, all sides held to the same standards in bringing the ugly truth out onto the coffee table of American households. Everyone knows that the Jeremiah Wright incident would have toppled a White politician, ended his or her career, yet where Obama is concerned, we seem to have a serious double standard, those who attack him, suggest he resign accused of being racists. Where is fairness in that double standard?

The Obama-Wright situation is not the only political scandal wherein we can see this double standard in play. Elliot Spitzer was run out of office for having an affair with a hooker, or more than one. Yet, his Black replacement for the highest office in the state of New York came before the camera's and admitted not just one affair, but numerous affairs including a threesome. Instead of being run out of office on a rail, he is being referred to by the newspapers as Governor Stud referring to his sexual prowess. In Detroit we have another Black mayor (Kilpatrick) guilty of sexual indiscretions who is playing the race card against those who are calling for his resignation from office. Give me a break, they have the text messages.

Equal rights and equality mean we treat all people regardless of color the same, have an ethical standard that all people are held too...yet, in politics as in life, it appears on the surface that Blacks expect to be held to a different standard, be given if you will a free pass for thier own indiscretions, their own wrongs. the second someone calls for their resignation, the race card gets played, whites are accused of being on a witch hunt to bring down a black man.

We can all agree that the discussion on race has to be held...but let us not limit one sides ability to be involved in that discussion, to air our own anger at a situation boiling and churning just below the surface of our society. If the Black community is allowed to call for the resignation of a politician for uttering a wrong word or phrase, then that same standard MUST BE UPHELD when a Black politician or those he is closely assoiciated with use racially charged hate speech against the White community. Hate speech is hate speech regardless of who spoke it, and if Wright's comments would have ended the career of a White politician, then it is only fair Obama's career be ended as well, isn't it?

Since Obama wants to elevate the conversation, since his staffers are out on the airwaves dictating terms of the discussion, thought it wise to find out what others feel should be on the table during this discussion about race. I'll start with my own list:

1. End to double standards. This includes such things as use of ugly words on all sides. The *N* word should not be used, but neither should Whitey, Honky, Hillbilly, Gringo and any other derogatory slang used to demean any segment of our society, including White people.

2. End reverse discrimination. You cannot ask people to set aside their discrimination or percieved discrimination while you yourself hold on to your own. Further, stop trying to make me feel guilty for the sins of my forebears. I heard a Black Political Pundit throw out a term the other day. Post Slavery Traumatic Disorder (PSTD) in justifying the Black Communities anger, in justifying their sense of entitlement. Not buying into that, am tired of being made to feel as if I owe you something, should make sacrifices in attaining my own American Dream to pay for sins I had nothing to do with.

3. End Affirmative Action wherein someone/any one recieves an advanatage based purely on their race, creed or sexual orientation. Let the best qualified man or woman have that job, or that spot on a college campus. Eliminate all financial aid and scholorships that are based on race. Stop all loans and government set asides for minority owned businesses...why should someone get special access to low interest business loans based on the color of their skin, or put another way, why should someone with a good business idea be denied funding because they are the wrong color. Some will want to deny it, but if there were a Small Business Loan program for disadvantaged White Men, set asides in government contracts for White Men, several factions in this nation would cry foul. (Women and almost all minorities included.)

4. Equity must be restored to our federal government when it comes to revitalization...there is far more spent on urban revitalization programs, while little attention is given to rural revitalization. What makes a blighted urban area more important than a blighted rural area?

5. Eliminate disparity in school funding by creating a National School Tax based on the number of children you have, instead of local school funding through property taxes. This singular act alone would eliminate the disparity in the quality of education, but is fought against by wealthy communities because they like having the BEST SCHOOLS for their pampered and priviledged children. People with large families like schools funded through property taxes, as it gives them a bargain priced education for their children...as example, my wife and I with no children pay the exact same property taxes as three houses on our block that have 14 children between them.

Lets have the talk, but do it in a way that gives ALL PARTIES a voice in the discussion.

Obama's Speech a TOTAL Dissappointment

Obama in his speech today basically CONDONED Jeremiah Wright's hate speech, condoned the reverse prejudice of many in the Black Community. He flat out admitted, that those two things are a part of him, that he cannot and will not rebuke Jeremiah Wright who he feels is an honorable, kind, passionate man always there for HIS COMMUNITY. He admitted in his words, though not directly that he has lied to the American people, admitted that "Yes, I sat in the pews, I listened to Jeremiah Wright's hate speech." He conveniently did not admit openly and honestly to the American people that he LIED TO US when he claimed it was the first time he'd heard the words, heard the hate.

Here's a wake up call, take it for what it is worth.

Slavery ended over 100 years ago. The civil rights movement started way back with Rosa Parks in 1955 (before I was born) refused to give up her seat on the bus. 52 years later, almost three generations of people later, there still exists this anger and sense of entitlement in the Black Community, a spoken and unspoken "You Owe Us." No, we do not owe you, we had nothing to do with the sins of our father's father's fathers. Quite frankly, we are tired of being told, "You OWE US". We are tired of your anger pointed squarely in our direction when we have done nothing wrong. Enough already. Stop trying to guilt people who have done no wrong.

I lived through the turbulent 60's, I lived through the assinations of John F and Robert Kennedy, cried when Martin Luther King was slain. I supported the Black Community's Civil Rights Movement, defended the actions of people like Malcolm X as a teenager. When I applied to jobs, and did not get the jobs (not because I wasn't qualified) because of Affirmative Action, I was fine with it, it was a part of equaling the playing field, erasing the slate, giving people of color a chance they had never had before. Those jobs I wanted, even needed are ancient history, go back over 30 years.

Problem is, some fifty plus years after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus, the Black community refuses to let go of its own anger. That fact was made perfectly clear today when Obama defended the racist, bigoted hate speech of Jeremiah Wright, spoke about the bitterness within segments of the Black community. Sure it will make some howl in anger, but you know what...at some point in time, one has to accept an apology and move on, because if you do not, people get tired of it, get tired of hearing the same rhetoric, complaints and whining over and over again. By the 70's the Black Community had a whole generation who had grown up with the Civil Rights Movement, supported it, were willing to make self sacrifices in the name of Equality...I was one of those people. Now, I'm upset, tired of the same complaints, the same wasted rhetoric that 40 years later no longer rings as true as it did in those early days when Martin Luther King spoke those wonderful words, "I have a dream."

There is a bitterness in the Black Community, a community wide chip on their collective shoulders as they look at us Whiteys almost daring us to knock it off. I know that chip, or more aptly a similiar chip. I spent a lot of my life being angry at those who abused me as a child, had a deep seething anger and resentment towards all men because men had been my abusers. That chip, that anger caused me problems, saw me at times shooting myself in the foot, but I never admitted my own wrong, my sad luck always the fault of others. It was not until I took responsibility for myself, took responsibility for my own actions, took steps to let go of that darkness I clung too, saw as my friend, was I able to make major strides forward in who I was and am. What I found in my own path of healing, was that once I let the anger go, once I stopped distrusting others just because they were male, my life started changing, the door of opportunity started to open up. All along, it had been ME, not them who were keeping me from succeeding in life and in love.

Obama today admitted that anger and bitterness exists in the Black Community, admitted that old grudges were still held, even on some level admitted he himself shares that same seething anger. That is not America's problem to deal with, that is the Black Community's problem to deal with. Martin Luther King openned the dialogue, gave his blood that the healing could begin. In holding on to the bitterness, in clinging to old grudges, in refusing to forgive, it is the Black Community that is throwing away everything that Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and many others gave their all for. Unless and until the Black Community is willing to take that chip off their shoulder, set aside their anger and bitterness, any forward progress is and will remain stalled. No one like to break bread with an angry man.

Sadly, America saw today that Obama is not America's Presidential candidate, he is the Black Community's Presidential Candidate. His speech today for many Americans verified what we already suspected. He may have come far enough down the road to win the Democratic Nomination, but he will not win the fall election, thus hurting the nation as a whole when John McCain is sworn into offrice, takes up residence in the Oval Office...that angers me. It might sound offensive, but is this the thanks we get for supporting the Equal Rights Movement? A President in John Mccain who, like Bush who will continue stealing away our personal liberties, running a once proud nation into the ground.

Not all, but many White Americans have for years ,even decades have extended our hand in friendship, and that offer has been ignored, our hand refused. At this point, as the basketball phrase states, "balls in your court".

Pre Obama Speech Question for Everyone

On both CNN and FOX they have shown Obama at a news conference wherein he pushed off until tomorrow questions on the Jeremiah Wright situation, making two points.

1. He feels the press caricature of Jeremiah Wright is UNFAIR, and he hopes to change that, to DEFEND the man's character.

2. He feels the Black Community sees the situation, and Jeremiah Wright's statements far differently than the rest of us do, and he hopes to share with us how they see it (the statements), and the situations spoken about in Jeremiah Wright's hate speech.

So here is my question...if Obama has positioned himself as EVERYONE's candidate, rather than planning to chastise the rest of America by PREACHING DOWN TO US, as if we are the ones who are wrong in this mess, shouldn't he be speaking to the Black Community, explaining to them why Reverend Wright's bigoted, racist hate speech was and is so wrong?

Why Obama is a LIAR-The Jeremiah Wright Connection

As much as it saddens me, it seems that those who support Obama do so at all costs, are willing to ignore truths placed right before their eyes. Much as groups like La Raza does against those that speak up against illegal aliens, Obama followers seem quick to jump into any thread that paints Obama in a negative light and play the race card, accusing us of some sinister agenda against a black man, accusing us of carrying out some evil agenda of either Hillary Clinton or John McCain and the Republican Right. Watching the news I am disturbed that black political pundits are suggesting Obama’s disturbing connections to Jeremiah Wright should be allowed to die a natural death, even suggesting that we as “White People” are hearing things wrong, do not understand the “Black Perspective.” Funny, do not remember the Al Sharpton’s and Jesse Jackson’s of the world letting charges of white hate speech dying until after the offending party had lost their career.

Close your eyes, or pretend you do not know the ethnic origins of the parties involved in this brewing scandal that could take down Obama, potentially end not just his run for the Presidency, but his political career. If you heard Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s words, read them on a printed page, are they hate speech? It is a simple yes or no question, and if you answer yes, then should Reverend Wright, Senator Obama be held to the same standards of accountability that we hold our white politicians to? Do a cursory search of the internet, and there are numerous examples of fallen politicians, run out of our nation’s capital for far less offensive speech than we are hearing from the Reverend Wright’s lips.

Senator George Allen (R) was being pegged as the likely Republican Nominee to replace George W. Bush, and then he had his Macaca Moment of shame. What about Trent Lott as another example, or Imus and his ill placed nappy headed whore remarks? None of these should be condoned, but neither can we have a double standard because the politician is black. Some will say Jeremiah Wright’s words are not those of Obama, and this much is true…but, Obama has embraced both the comments and the man, then turned around and lied about it, hoping it will all just go away. It is at this point that the Obamaniacs start their howling, accuse me of being on a witchhunt, suggest I am out to ruin his career, even claim what I say is not true.

Time out, lets examine some FACTS. Obama claims that he wants to be a Uniter, wants America and its citizens to come together as one to solve our problems. Why then does he attend a church that has a long standing reputation as being a boiling cauldron of devision falling along racial lines? Reverend Jeremiah Wright was a controversial man long before Obama credited him as being the man who showed him Jesus, credited him with being “my spiritual mentor”, long before Barrack Obama wrote his book based on a Wright sermon, “The Audacity of Hope”. These realities, known facts easy to find show that Obama lies when he claims he was unaware of the controversy, unaware of Jereimiah Wright’s bigoted, racist hate filled speech.

As example, a regular part of the bread of life spewed forth from Wright’s pulpit of hate are expressions like, “white arrogance” and “the United States of White America.” Not exactly phrases that fit in with Barack Obama’s message of consensus based upon a platform of shared faith combined with bipartisanship in government. More importantly, we know Obama has been in the pews when certain hate speech was delivered, such as on July 22, 2007 when both of the above phrases were peppered at the audience. Perhaps Obama should have taken a cue from Oprah, once a congregant, who distanced herself from both the church and the man.

Obama has been attending the “Trinity Church of Christ”, building a strong personal relationship with Jeremiah Wright since the 80’s when the skeptical Obama became a community organizer in the Chicago area, their friendship spanning decades. You can find numerous examples of Obama’s praise of the man, and his message, many of them written or spoken by Obama himself. Obama credits Wright with converting him to Christianity, yet would have us believe he had no clue of the hateful bigoted racist remarks attributed to Jeremiah Wright? Does a Harvard graduate, the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review expects us to be so naïve? Consider this:

Obama easily shares the story of how Jeremiah Wright took him on a spiritual journey where he came to know Jesus Christ.

Obama has described himself as a close disciple and personal friend of Jeremiah Wright.

Wright conducted the marriage ceremony when Barack married his wife Michelle.

Jeremiah Wright personally baptised the Obama daughters.

Obama had Jeremiah Wright bless his Chicago home.

“Audacity of Hope” is based on a Jeremiah Wright sermon, takes its title from it.

These are inconvenient truths for Barack Obama, and perhaps for the black community. It lends validity to our call for a full rebuke of Jeremiah Wright, a complete severing of Obama’s relationship with the man, and the church. That creates problems for Barack, because in his community Jeremiah Wright has done no wrong, is a well respected even revered man of god. Could potentially see a major segment of the Black Community abandon Barack, withdraw their support from his campaign.

Unfortunately, this scandal has exposed a very ugly truth…not all, but many blacks themselves are guilty of the same sin they accuse whites of…RACISM in all of its ugly truth. This tragic set of events, Jeremiah Wright’s ugliness has exposed a horrendous double standard wherein it is the black community guilty of demanding equality while deny that same gift to others. It raises the question, how can we have racial equality and justice for all when hatred and separation are being preached from the pulpit of America’s Black Churches? More important, how can we believe Barack Obama’s message of oneness, of inclusion when he embraces a church and a minister that embraces and ministers hate of all things white? There is a simple truth in life, it takes two people to fight, but it also takes two people to heal.

Obama cannot serve two masters, cannot be America’s President without facing this problem head on, and honestly…so far, he has done neither. To address any issue, to become a better person we must first be honest with ourself…Obama is lying when he claims no prior knowledge, there are too many examples of Wright’s controversy that have caught the attention of the American Media:

Wright on 9/11: "White America got their wake-up call after 9/11. White America and the Western world came to realize people of color had not gone away, faded in the woodwork, or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns." On the Sunday after the attacks, Dr. Wright blamed America.

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: "Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months."

Wright on Israel: "The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism."

These are all examples of Jeremiah Wright’s hate speech spoken before Obama had invited the man to give the opening remarks the day he announced his presidency…an invite rescinded on the advice of senior staffers. Eyebrow raising and controversy are Wright’s calling card, have been since 1984 when he visited Muammar Gaddafi three years after Libyan fighter jets fired on US aircraft in International Waters, and four years before the Libyan bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. These facts, these examples of hate speech make Obama look stupid when he claims ignorance, bring into question his ability to be a Senator, let alone our next president.

Instead of being honest, instead of rebuking both the man and the words, Obama has tried instead to excuse his behaviors, give him a free pass with comments such as:

New York Times-"We don't agree on everything. I've never had a thorough conversation with him about all aspects of politics."

Same Interview on Jeremiah Wright’s 9/11 comments-"The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification," adding "It sounds like Wright was trying to be provocative."

Justifying Wrights Hate Speech-Obama attributed views to Wright being "a child of the 60s"…"expresses himself in that language of concern with institutional racism, and the struggles the African-American community has gone through."

When Wright’s minions expressed disappointment at Jeremiah Wright not giving the invocation the day Obama announced his run for the Presidency, Obama’s campaign issued a quick statement to the press wherein Senator Obama claims to be PROUD OF HIS PASTOR, and his church. Sorry, but the two positions do not jive…the invite was revoked because senior staff knew Wright could kill Obama’s Campaign before it ever got off the launching pad, and this fact again makes Obama’s claimed ignorance a lie. Despite apparent staff warnings, Obama if anything has been reluctant to put distance between himself and Jeremiah Wright.

In June, Obama was appearing before a conference of religious leaders. Wright appeared in a videotaped introduction.

One of Obama's campaign themes alleges conservative evangelicals have "hijacked" Christianity, ignoring poverty, AIDS, and racism…a core pillar of Jeremiah’s hate speeches.

In an effort to build consensus between his new politics and faith, Obama's campaign launched a new Web page, www.faith.barackobama.com that prominently featured a testimonial from Jeremiah Wright, which drew a quick rebuke from the Catholic League wherein the organizations President Bill Donohue stated Obama knew his spiritual advisor was so divisive that his inclusion could cloud the ceremonies, further nothing that Wright has “has a record of giving racially inflammatory sermons and has even said that Zionism has an element of ‘white racism.' He also blamed the attacks of 9/11 on American foreign policy."

This letter from Bill Donahue is irrefutable proof that Barack Obama is lying when he claims no previous knowledge of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s hate speech. Is absolute proof that Obama has an inability to exercise good judgment when it comes to the company he keeps, the people he chooses to be in his personal circle of mentors. The facts are simple…to have a real chance at winning the Democratic Nomination Barack Obama has to carry the black vote by a overwhelming majority. To do that, he has place political practicality ahead of his morals. Rebuking Jeremiah Wright, severing his ties with both the man and the church would lose Obama something he desperately needs if he is to attain his goal…both Wright, and the activist African American church and the help, money and support they bring to his campaign and his staff. Problem is, that choice if it continues will not only haunt Barack Obama, but the entire Democratic Party, as the Republicans will use that choice to destroy the man in the General Election.

Both Wright and Barack know this, are willing to roll the dice. Wright stated in a quote to the New York Times, "If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me," and "I said it to Barack personally, and he said 'yeah, that might have to happen.'" A calculated gamble…that does not sound like new politics, does not sound like change, but instead politics as usual. Obama refusing to call bigoted racist hate speech what it is, rebuke his friend and mentor because politically, right now during this contentious primary, he needs his help, even if he is a prejudiced bigot. Americans need to ask themselves a serious question, “Can we afford to lose the White House on the gamble of a dreamer spiritually married to a bigot preacher?
