The Flame of Shame Wars in San Francisco...Let the Games Begin

As the maps the police and Flame of Shame Security forces do not really have a lot of options when it comes to the the Olympic Torch this morning. It will not take much planning (coupled with listening to police radios) for the protestors to put people where they need to be when they need to be there.

Key areas to have in your planning should probably include Divisadero Street (just in case Golden Gate Bridge stays involved), Van Ness Avenue (access to city hall and its twin fronts), the Embarkadero, Market, Bay and Broadway...brave souls would figure out a way to clog the Bay Bridge.

In short, contrary to what the police want everyone to think, their options are actually FAIRLY LIMITED, and further convoluted by serious TRAFFIC issues on the best of days during business hours. Key to success...get as many protestors on bikes as you possibly can for FAST DEPLOYMENT...also, if you know any bike messengers, they are GREAT SOURCES of intell!

My advice to the IOC...pull the plug. Having watched the Danny White riots unfold, can tell you San Francisco has the ability to GET UGLY FAST, and having been a bike messenger there, can tell you it is possible for well organized protesters to literally bottle off and TRAP the torch! FREE TIBET!
